Yatton needed a design for an advert they were taking out in a newpaper. The problem was that they were so new they didn't even have a brand. Not a problem for The Design Tailor though.

The East of Bristol is quickly catching up with the South in terms of music, art and culture. Redfest looks to be a symbol of this blossoming creativity. With music of every style and fun coming out if its ears, this is sure to become an annual bash.
We designed a programme, posters and flyers for Redfest but these are too big to have as downloads. If you would like to see them please
contact us.
If you have noticed us wearing trilbies and talking like New York press gangs it will have been because we were getting in to character for this.
Projects don't get bigger, more exciting and plain stressful as a newspaper... and we've just taken on 5. The Bristol News, Somerset Journal and three we can't talk about yet. Watch this space, 'we'll blow the story wide open!'
When
BEST wanted to promote the opening of the newly renovated Cobden Green. They asked us to produce some posters. We were particaly happy with the deep green colour.

Absolute Mac wanted a flyer that would appeal to designers and people in the marketing world. We thought, considering the company name, it would be a perfect opportunity to play with the celebrated Absolute Vodka campaign.
After building their
website Community at Heart have commissioned us to do their bi-monthly magazine, 'In The Know'. It's delivered to over 5000 residents in East Bristol and is full of news and articles of interest as well as a diary of happenings in the area.

'Green' is banded about everywhere at the moment. But how can you actually help the environment without going back to the dark ages? This leaflet was commissioned by Sustainable Solutions to give practical advice on the subject.
To get in the spirit of things we turned the computers off to save some electricity and dusted off our cartooning pens. We even recycled some paper we were using for
Delicious!

We were asked to come up with a marketing campaign for The Clean Team. They wanted something different and effective. People want maid cleaning because of busy lives and little leisure time.
Anyway, everyone hates cleaning!
Mini Meals were so happy with the
website we built them that they asked us to redesign every thing they use in the same style. Above is a compliment slip (or should we say 'condiment slip'!) which formed a part of the business stationary we printed for them.
We designed these bookmark style flyers to promote Cliff Hanley's exhibition of paintings inspired by his travels to Palestine. These were delivered to all the libraries and galleries, among other places, in Bristol. They were particularly effective because when people used them as bookmarks they became an ambient advert and a constant reminder to Cliff's exhibition.
We love the annual Southbank Arts Trail and were proud to be part of the 'Pick of the Trail', an exhibition of 50 of the best of the 2007 trail. We tried to create a snapshot of the energy, vibrancy and fun of the trail with out showing too much of actual peoples artwork (we didn't know who would be chosen at the time of designing).
Berlin's Spandauer Stadtstreicher String Ensemble asked The Design Tailor to promote a one off UK performance. We thought their name was too much of a mouthful so tried to make it very obvious what the posters were advertising. They sold out, so we feel this was an effective solution.
To promote the opening of Trigaci Jewellery, they organized a series of 'jewellery parties' in various bars and pubs. Top left is an A3 poster that was part of the marketing campaign. Top right is a poster that was part of a Christmas promotional campaign.
Most of our branding projects include the printing of stationary and promotional goods. Above is an example of some designs we produced for the Life Touch Clinic. Ask us about our ideas for more unusual promotions which we can do for maximum exposure for your budget.
Cadogan House is an example of the promotional literature we are producing for The PG Group. Because of its central position in the bustling heart of Cardiff, Cadogan House is the perfect place for young professional who likes to have fun. We illustrated this with the "Work, Play, Live" concept.
BCAF was cancelled this year because they couldn't get licenses from the council in time but will be back, bigger and better in 2008. Before it was cancelled The Design Tailor were in charge of promoting the event and we look forward to pushing this fun filled weekend next year.
